The Voice of the Turtle Retreat Center continues to be of service to individuals and inclusive spiritually-oriented groups of all kinds.  We provide simple and comfortable retreat facilities in the beauty and grandeur of our land in the mountains of New Mexico.

We are making progress in our development step by step, with patience and persistence.  We continue to make modest improvements to our facilities with the resources at hand.  Those of us living on or near the land are doing our part by giving our time, our love, our energy, and our commitment.  Small but significant improvements in the appearance and functioning of the Voice of the Turtle Retreat Center are being made day by day, week by week.

At the top of our list of these improvements is the completion of the Dance Dome and the upgrading of our shower facilities. Many of you have contributed to the completion of the Dance Dome (it still needs a wooden foundation and floor in order to improve it as a dance and meeting space), and we value your support.

In order to provide a secluded facility for individuals wishing to do personal retreats at the Voice of the Turtle, we are beginning a campaign to fund a retreat hut above the maqbara (burial site) of Murshid Moineddin Jablonski.  Your contribution will make it possible for us to fulfill this very important aspect of our vision.

Bear Creek Nature Preserve now has 109 set-aside acres.  For a donation of $400, you can endow an acre.  Partial acres can also be funded.  On behalf of the land and its wild inhabitants, we thank you for your support!

Any assistance in debt retirement, including supporting our efforts to reduce or pay off the mortgage, is also welcomed. We were able to re-finance this past year, thanks to a consortium of individual donors, to whom we are most grateful.

If you  wish to make a deeper financial commitment to the SSC, you can become a Member Donor.  For $3,000 (paid in a lump sum or in monthly payments as low as $50/month), you can invest significantly in the growth and development of this community and the Voice of Turtle Retreat Center.  In return for your generosity, you will receive a 10% discount on all SSC activities, and  the privilege of camping free on the land for two weeks each year.  In addition, Member Donors are entitled to elect one Board member every other year.

Whether you are a regular donor to the Southwest Sufi Community or are considering contributing for the first time, your donation, large or small, is much needed and much appreciated.
