on the land

2-5 Paul's parents come for a visit to the land.

Not just a visit, but part of a project involving picking up a donated set of solar water panels in Deming and bringing them over the mountain. Here are Rashad and Krishna Paul carrying roof sections to put on top of the panels -- donkey proofing them -- while they're on the ground.

2-12  Rashad briefs Azima about cat care.  Maxie's going to be keeping the dome protected while Rashad is in New York studying and living with his Jerrahi community.

And don't forget donkeys.

2-16  Joanie brings her visiting Arkansas friend to see the land.

2-19  Krishna Paul undertakes the prize job of the month -- removing the ceiling from the porch.  This space is no longer part of the nature preserve.

Patty notes in the Log: "I started a new compost so we could use the old done stuff for spring planting. It's right behind (or next to, depending on your perspective) the old one. So that's the spot to dump the bucket now. Ready for Spring! Yeah!"

From up on the ridge beyond the old orchard you can see the tip of Bear Mountain.

And here's moonrise, and the Homestead roof.
